By delving into the fascinating relationships between Crockett's personal experiences, prolific literary output and the people, places and events that influenced him we hope to illuminate and contextualise the rich world of his writing. 

As a constantly growing resource the museum will continue to expand the collection, exploring new connections and offering fresh insights into the capitvating world of S.R.Crockett.

The museum draws upon the combined research collections of three leading Crockett scholars: Dr Islay Murray Donaldson, Richard D. Jackson and Cally Phillips, now housed in The Galloway Raiders Archive, bringing together a wealth of published and unpublished materials.
